Happy New Year!

I wish everyone well.

Pearl Kreations is 11 years old today. I thank God for sustaining the company and my adventure as Mr. Buttons thus far lol. Sometimes, I can’t believe how long it’s been!

Well, as has been the tradition for some years now, we will be rolling out some cool buttons in line with some of the blockbusters coming out this year.

Once again, Marvel takes the cake for the most buttons – a whooping 9 out of 11 buttons. In chronological order, we have:

  • Captain Marvel buttons and SHIELD buttons for Captain Marvel – out March 8th
  • Shazam buttons for Shazam! – out April 5th
  • BPRD (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense) buttons for Hellboy – out April 12th
  • Avengers buttons, Iron Man buttons, Captain America buttons, Ant Man buttons, Mjöllnir buttons, and Spider Man buttons for Avengers: Endgame – out April 26th
  • XMen buttons for Dark Phoenix – out June 7th
  • Spider Man buttons also for Spider Man: Far From Home – out July 15th

Since they’re almost entirely Marvel-based, there will be just one collection this year – The Fantasy XIX Collection – with all eleven (11) buttons.

You can order the collection via our Online Shop and Konga.com Store, or order individual buttons (only via our Online Shop). We’re also working on a Jumia.com Store; we’ll have updates on our progress with that on our social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The Fantasy XIX Collection will be available from Monday, February 18th.

Happy New Year!

2018 is here and I hope it brings lots of happiness and progress to us all.

Today marks 10 years since I started Pearl Kreations from my bedroom in 2008! Yay! I thank God the business is still standing and thriving. Time flies though.

As has become tradition, we will be rolling out lots of cool buttons this year, in accordance with the awesome movies coming out.

If you’re a movie buff and buttons lover like I am, I bet you can guess the buttons we have planned. We will hold the collection strategy this year because Marvel Studios has the biggest buttons line up  – 11 of the 14 buttons – for the most anticipated movies for the yea.

Without further ado:2018The first/top row features two (2) proofs for two (2) blockbusters – Black Panther for Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War, and Deadpool for Deadpool 2.

The second row features four (4) proofs for one (1) blockbuster – Mjöllnir, Iron Man-Mark V Arc Reactor, Captain America Shield, and Spidey for Avengers: Infinity War.

The third row features five (5) proofs for three (3) blockbusters – Eye of Agamotto, Guardian, and War Machine Arc Reactor for Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man for Ant-Man and The Wasp, and Venom for Venom.

The fourth/bottom row features three (3) proofs for three (3) blockbusters – Jurassic for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Predator for The Predator, and Aquaman for Aquaman.

All collections will be available for purchase via our Online Shop and Konga.com Store.

We’re also planning a special sale during the course of the year. Please follow Pearl Kreations’ social media handles for more information.

Get set to button up and celebrate with us this 2018! 😀

Well, I’m pretty sure almost everyone is excited about summer and making fun plans. Now, being a movie-buff, I’m excited about the movies being released this year. Among those I looked forward to were Fast Five and Limitless – both of which I thoroughly enjoyed, by the way. Still looking forward to seeing The Hangover 2, Immortals and Super 8.

I’m particularly excited about the intense action/superhero movies coming out. From 20th Century Fox – X-Men: First Class (June 3rd). From DC Comics/Warner Bros – Green Lantern (June 17th). From Dream Works Pictures – TF3/Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (July 1st). From Marvel Studios/Disney – Thor: God Of Thunder (May 6th) and Captain America: The First Avenger (July 22nd). And, from Summit Entertainment – The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 (November 18th).

In anticipation of these movies, I had the Pearl Kreations design team make six designs for five of them (with the exception of TF3) –I’m on the fence for the third Transformers movie installment. The reviews for Transformers 2 (TF2) weren’t very good and it didn’t do it for me either. I’ve seen the newest trailer for TF3 and all I saw was Michael Bay’s trademark – lots of kaboom.

If I do change my mind (which I’m guessing I will), it will be the same Autobot and Decepticon designs used for TF2 in 2009. The X-Men (X-Badge), Edward Cullen and Jacob Black designs are also the same as used for the X-Men Origins and The Twilight Saga: New Moon movies respectively. Just the Captain America (Shield), Green Lantern (Suit Logo) and Thor (Marvel Image) designs are new.

I asked William Turner of willYVerse to make a short promo video to advertise this year’s superhero movie buttons. It was featured in Pearl Kreations’ most recent post (released Wednesday, May 4th) on The SKA Blog along with photos of the button samples. Here’s the link – http://theskagroup.blogspot.com/2011/05/pearl-kreations-movie-buttons-2011.html. What do you think?

I think he did an excellent job. It might just become a new, exciting twist to our buttons promo initiatives. There is also a Pearl Kreations advert in the works – I’ll keep you posted on that.

My plan, as I wrote in my black book was for each of them to go on sale approximately a week before their Canada/United States release dates, and off sale a week after their release dates. As usual, they will still be available long after those dates, but probably not at the sale price of $2.00CAD/pin.

Thor (http://thor.marvel.com) is out today and I’m definitely going to see it. Only thing is, I don’t know if I’m up to hustling with teenagers/queuing up to see it in the night-time. I’ll probably see one showing sometime in the afternoon (2/3pm-ish) with my button on :D. Get yours too!
